The team preparing for Christmas at Starlings.

The ski pants have been dug out of hibernation, thermals lifted from their hiding place in the airing cupboard and the oil filled radiator wheeled out and switched on!

Janey

Janey has been mossing the holly wreaths and has filled the shop back yard with them, all in regimented lines and date order.  The signs have been placed in the staff room, reminding us that these are made to order and we must NOT touch her stock in the cellar, heaven help us if we sell one …after all she is Queen of the holly and known for her prickles!!

Jola

Jola has begun working on her Christmas designs and will create something special to decorate our beautiful fruit baskets.   Jolas creativity is behind our unique decorations on our fruit baskets.

Rachel

Rachel, it is her second Christmas with us, she joined our team last year and brings an air of calmness and much needed organisation to the business along with a fantastic flair for floristry. Rachel has also created some wonderful window displays this year.

Vicky

Vicky retired earlier in the year, but happily comes and helps during holidays and busy periods, a classic florist with a great eye for detail and another calming influence, during those busy and hectic times.

Ethan

Ethan our new ( well 7 months in )  Saturday lad is a great asset to our team  and is going to help with the packing of the fruit baskets this year, that’s if Jane does not take him cutting holly of course!

Paul

Paul, another addition to our expanding team, delivers our local fruit baskets and flowers. One of the corporate customers he looks after is the Sandringham hospital, who regularly receives our fruit baskets.  He also makes a mean cup of coffee!

Dorothy

Dorothy – overall super star and mother of Kimberley (Kim when she is not listening) has a wealth of experience creating luxury fruit baskets and stunning flower arrangements. Mum celebrated her 75th birthday this year and has been a florist for over 55 years …. Mum has not retired and works 3 days a week and at Christmas , will I expect do an amazing 6 day week , 12 hours a day , nearly an hour for every year !!

Kim

Kim – owner and director.  My focus is on buying the best produce and driving the brand forward, with constant reinvestment on the website and marketing. I have grown up in the business and still really enjoy what I do.  The high street has changed massively over the past few years, hence the birth of the online business Luxury fruit baskets.   Christmas is the busiest time for us all at Luxury fruit baskets and despite the cold, long hard hours this seasonal time brings there is an atmosphere of fun, we all love what we do and are truly delighted when one of our fruit baskets created by one of us, leaves Swaffham and arrives the next day often as far away as Scotland and the recipient emails us or calls to say how delighted they are, now that is job satisfaction!
